“the amount of money that they need to raise through the end of 27th, it's 30% of all of what treasury is about to issue in that same period.”

Claim: The AI companies' borrowing needs through end-2027 equal about 30% of all Treasury issuance over the same period.

Evidence. We could not find the source of the 30% figure. Published estimates put global AI-related debt issuance above $500bn in 2026 (Morgan Stanley) and hyperscaler issuance above $1tn through 2027 (Citrini Research), and JPMorgan has warned the issuance adds pressure on Treasury yields. Whether this is 30% of Treasury issuance depends on whether gross or net Treasury issuance is meant; against net issuance the order of magnitude is plausible, against gross issuance (tens of trillions a year) it is far lower.

The figure comes from a chart his research team prepared; it was not shown with a source.
